The Borders Carers Strategy 2011-2015 is now out for consultation. It sets out how Scottish Borders Council, NHS Borders and local carer organisations will support unpaid adult and young carers, and reflects the commitments made by the Scottish Government in the Carers Strategy for Scotland (2011-2015). The overarching principle is that carers are treated as partners in the planning and delivery of care and support services. The consultation will close on 31stMarch 2012.
